Bravado + Food

Wow so the blog ended up being next to impossible to keep up with during the school year but since it is summer, I am back and ready to attack you with outfits, playlists, food, and a special surprise.

I wore this a few weeks ago when I went to get crepes with a friend.

Top: Brandy Melville
Shorts: American Apparel
Shoes: Aldo
Watch: Urban Outfitters

I've been loving the spaghetti strap halter trend this summer, and although its hard to see in the pictures, this Brandy Melville top is the perfect tight, black, cropped, spaghetti strap halter. Very 90's. I'm in love.

So much love for my Aldo brogues. They are the perfect pop of red.

I've also re-dyed my hair since my last post. I used Garnier Nutrisse Ultra Color in LB3 to get my ombre effect.

Makeup:

Foundation: Neutrogena Healthy Skin Pressed Powder in Medium
Blush: Bare Minerals Warmth
Eyeliner: e.l.f. Liquid Eyeliner in Black
Mascara: Maybelline Colossal Volume Express Cat Eyes
Eyeshadow: M.A.C. All that Glitters
Lips: NYX Matte Lip Cream in London

I apologize for the state of these selfies, but I am not the best self-shooter.

I have to tell you guys about this little miracle right here. I've been really loving NYX lip products recently and I'm in love with the Matte Lip Cream.

As you can see, it starts off as a sort of creamy lip gloss but it dries totally matte. The only warning I would give is that it does dry out your lips, so make sure to apply chapstick, but other than that, it makes your lips look amazing. I got the shade London which is a neutral brown and I've been wearing it all summer.

I also have to let you guys in on my newest snack obsession.

I have essentially been living in the Asian Foods section of Wegmans and I have been eating their Wasabi Roasted and Sea Salted Seaweed Snack nonstop for the past couple weeks. Its a little pack of dried seaweed. I prefer the Wasabi flavor, but fair warning, its quite spicy. It also comes in just a plain salt flavor. This stuff is seriously addicting and its only 30 calories a pack.

You may also notice in the picture a miraculous can of sriracha peas. The more delicious, more flavorful, and more attractive cousin of wasabi peas, these sriracha peas are exactly what they sound like and taste even better. I can eat the entire can in a day. Seriously. Find these and try them you will not regret it. The brand is Hapi.

Another great snack food for summer? I cannot emphasize enough how much better bananas are when they're frozen. It is some magic of science and nature, but chop up a banana or two, throw them in the freezer for a little bit and enjoy these bite-sized snacks all day long. For a more advanced version of this healthy summer snack, I encourage you to look up recipes for banana ice cream.

My sister and I made some with nutella and it had the exact consistency of ice cream, but was made of bananas because health.

And now for the special surprise: I opened an Etsy store with my handmade jewelry! It has a bit of a boho, festival vibe. Please Check it out and check back here as I will probably be doing a lookbook for my Etsy items.

That's all folks!
